WELCOME TO THE GROWNDEN WEBSITE!

Heyo to everyone reading this and welcome to my website! I’m using the first post of my blog to introduce myself to those who don’t know me and also explain the purpose of this website.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Grownden and I’m a producer/DJ based out of Michigan. I mainly dabble in Color Trance, a fusion of Progressive Trance nostalgia and forward-thinking Color Bass elements but I sometimes do other genres too. I’m mainly inspired by artists like Above & Beyond, Chime, Convexity & Paul Arcane to name a few, but I also get inspired by labels like Anjunabeats, Enhanced Progressive, Statement!, Neoluminum, Rushdown, ClubHaus, and many others. Though I also love to grab inspiration from a bit of everything else too.

My music has been on labels such as INVIBES, Euphonix, New Game, SHUTTLE RECS, and ClubHaus, to name a few labels. I’ve also released a remix on Recursive and won the Neoluminum 2024 remix contest twice! In addition to that, I’ve also made an appearance on the charity compilation Crossover for Charity: IN HARMONY alongside 99 other producers under the group name HUNDREDFOLD. I’ve also had the honor to have my music played on radioshows such as Enhanced Sessions, ClubHaus Radio, Aphelion Radio, and Noveci’s Novels from the Past, the latter three in which I’ve also done some guestmixes on! As well as that, I also performed at Basscraft Music Festival in December 2024!

Outside of that, my hobbies are usually gaming and messing with technology. I mainly play on Switch (the first one, not the second), Xbox and my phone with my Razer Kishi, but I also play on older consoles too (like Wii U, my 2DS, sometimes Dreamcast and emulation). I also enjoy messing around with technology. In fact, I’m a Windows user on my main computer but this entire website was coded by hand on an old laptop running Xubuntu! That’s… probably gotta be an accomplishment, right?

….Right?

So now that this is out of the way, the real question is.. what the heck is the purpose of this website? Well, basically, this will be a hub for everything relating to the Grownden project. You’ll see news about my music, maybe I might rant here about some topics, but we might also get a bit experimental and try some random things out. Who knows, I’m already making a Links page, that could probably eventually replace my Linktree? Not going to count on it but you never know….
